Privacy Policy.

What we collect, why we collect it, and what we do (and don't do) with it. Written in plain language.

§ 01Who we are

This site (mifarmwasteexchange.com) is operated by MI Big Bucks Solutions LLC, a Michigan limited liability company headquartered in Greenville, Michigan. We do business as Michigan Farm Waste Exchange ("MFWE," "we," "us," or "our"). Contact: operations@mifarmwasteexchange.com.

§ 02Plain-language summary

The short version

We collect what you give us when you fill out the signup form — name, email, farm or company details, county. We store it on Cloudflare's infrastructure. We do not sell your data. We use it to introduce you to potential buyers or sellers in our network, and to send you occasional updates about MFWE. You can ask us to delete it any time.

§ 03What we collect

Information you give us directly

When you fill out the signup form on our site, we collect what you submit. Depending on whether you're a farmer or a buyer, that may include:

Information collected automatically

When your signup is submitted, our system records:

We do not run third-party analytics, advertising trackers, social media pixels, or session replay tools on this site. We do not use cookies for tracking. The site is served through Cloudflare, which may collect standard server-side request data (IP, geolocation at country level, browser type) for security and performance — see Cloudflare's privacy policy.

§ 04How we use what we collect

We use your information for three things:

  1. To make introductions. If you signed up as a farmer, we may share your contact information with verified buyers we've matched you with. If you signed up as a buyer, we may share your information with farmers in your sourcing radius. We will not share your information with parties outside this matching purpose without your prior consent.
  2. To communicate with you. We may email you about your signup, ask follow-up questions, or send occasional updates about the network's progress in your county.
  3. To operate the platform. Aggregated and de-identified data may be used to understand network coverage, average volumes, and pricing — for internal planning and (in some cases) for general statements about platform activity in materials like our operator brief. Specific individual data is never disclosed in those materials without consent.

§ 05What we do NOT do

§ 06Where your information is stored

Your signup data is stored in a Cloudflare D1 database. Cloudflare maintains its infrastructure across multiple geographic regions; our database is hosted in the Eastern North America (ENAM) region. Cloudflare is responsible for the security of the underlying infrastructure. We are responsible for who has access to the data within it.

Access to the database is restricted to the operator(s) of MI Big Bucks Solutions LLC and is protected by an authentication key. We log all administrative access to the database.

§ 07How long we keep it

No system is perfectly secure. If we ever experience a data breach that affects you, we will notify you by email within 72 hours of discovery, consistent with applicable state and federal breach-notification laws.
